It was just wonderful - everybody seems to be in such a good mood. I had so many lovely conversations, enjoyed chatting to the other vendors (my lovely neighbours @the_birlinn_yarn_company, @scottishtextilesshowcase & @thewoollybrew), all the other lovely vendors and the amazing visitors ❤️❤️. Thank you for your support.

I have spent far more than I had planned too 🫣🤣: book and Christmas decoration from @thewoollybrew (love anything from @stitchbirdie), Christmas decorations from @shilasdairyarns, book and patterns from @the_birlinn_yarn_company, yarn from @bowbridgealpacasscotland, bag from @midwinteryarns and @eastneukknits bag and cards from @nattymaid.
I didn't take many pictures (typical), but @kelpiesprite always looks fantastic (also wearing the Hebridean Sea Shawl here) & I love the colour collection from @pinkminis67 - she was wearing yellow tights too - wow).
I still need a bit time to recover, but will try to update the website over the next days.

My @eastneukknits special - taking their flyers and logo as an inspiration for the choice of colours. I dyed these on my Gigha, Luing and Easdale base - I hope you like them as much as I do ❤️🩷🧡.
Only 4 days to go...I am still twisting the remaining skeins and will plan (and pack up) my set-up over the next 2 days...busy bee 😉.
There are so many lovely vendors - definitely worth a visit to get into the mood for Christmas.

I am so happy to be a vendor at this new yarn festival @eastneukknits in one of my favourite places (I love East Neuk!). It should be really nice & cozy (I think there might be even a prize for the person who wears the most knitted items), so I will get my big jumpers out too.
I have planned some festival specials, and I hope I get them done in time - fingers crossed 🙏. I will share more details very soon.
Why not join us? Come and soak up the atmosphere, enjoy some food, listen to some talks or join a workshop, go for a walk on the beach and enjoy also all the other lovely things East Neuk has to offer - it is definetely worth a day-out!

Introducing 'Minimalism' - dyed on 3 bases: Easdale (DK), Luing (4ply) and Iona (Lace) - this is my special for the Gala night @glasgowschoolofyarn, but I hope I have some skeins left for the weekend too.
I hope you like them as much as I do.
I wanted to dye a yarn that is simple, yet effective. In a world that constantly pushes for more - more things, more goals, 'minimalism' is making space for what really matters: finding joy in the ordinary, finding peace in a quiet moment and making the conscious decision to slow down. I don’t know if you are the same as me, but I have to remind myself constantly to slow down. So these skeins are a bit of a reminder to find your little peaceful corner in this hectic world, returning to simplicity in the form of needles and yarn ❤️.

I cannot wait to be part of the lovely @glasgowschoolofyarn again. It is such a warm, friendly and fun yarn festival - I always go home with a big smile on my face.
Saturday tickets are sold out, but there are some Sunday standard tickets left, and I think you can get tickets at the door after 1pm.
I hope I will see some of you 🙏. We are in the Saloon this year (of the Grand Hall).
Now....lots of yarn needs to get twisted...better get started...🤪

💫 I am so happy to be one of the vendors of this new festival near Crieff @rootedtextiles and I am very much looking forward to it.
💫 I will have a selection of my yarn bases with me, including my British / Scottish Vatersay & Lismore yarn, both of which are exclusive & custom-spun for Iolair Yarn.
💫 I dyed some variegated colours on the Vatersay base (pictures 2 &3) as a festival special.
I have a slightly new stall set-up as well (very exciting 🤗), and I hope you will like it.

We had some fun today...it is still so windy here and we were trying to take some pictures of my 2 new shawls. She has no hair flying around, so I thought.. why not 🐾🤣?
