Minimalism Shawl
I will be launching this at @glasgowschoolofyarn this weekend.
In a world that constantly pushes for more - more things, more goals, more achievements, the Minimalism Shawl is reminding us of different times: making space for what really matters, finding joy in the ordinary, finding peace in a quiet moment and making the conscious decision to slow down.
The Shawl is worked with only knit and slip stitches - and is part of the "no purl in sight" series (see also #NautilusShawl).
4ply and lace yarn hold together (one skein each). I am preparing kits at the moment and will have them with me at Glasgow School of Yarn. I am also preparing new kits for the Nautilus Shawl.
The pattern is available on @hi.ravelry and payhip (see link in my profile).
Have you got your tickets? Not long now...so looking forward to being surrounded by the lovely woolly folk again.

Hello 👋, I have been a bit quiet here, but I am still around 🤣. We had a lovely and relaxing holiday, and I am busy now with 3 (new 🥰) wholesale orders and I am also thinking about a new design (and have to write up another one).
Just sharing something from our new garden. Only in its second year, and it is blooming 🌸🏵. Walking around it and picking some frowers for the kitchen table is just bliss. I think most of the time, it is the small things that make you happy.

💫🐚 New pattern 🐚💫
The 'Nautilus Shawl' - no purl in sight -
The Nautilus Shawl is inspired by the Nautilus shell - nature's quiet masterpiece. Shimmering layers of turquoise and iridescent rainbow tones echo the shell's luminous shine. Like the nautilus itself, this shawl celebrates harmony, balance and endless movement.
Featuring garter stitches in DK weight yarn between the light lace yarn slip-stitches, it resembles the rainbow reflections of the nautilus shell and emerge and disappear as the light changes.
Its asymmetrical shape is designed with one end slightly wider and can be wrapped around the neck or drawn up as a soft hood when the air turns colder.
The shawl is worked with only knit and slip-stitches - no purl stitches at all - and you knit only with one colour at a time.
The pattern is available on Ravelry and Payhip now*.
I have prepared kits and will launch these at @tangledgalashiels this weekend. If there are some left, I will add them to the website afterwards (or dye more if needed).

💫 New yarn base 💫
I am launching my new yarn base 'Eriskay' at @tangledgalashiels.
This is a @jarbontextiles base
- 100% non- superwash British wool
- 50% Falkland merino,
- 50% Bluefaced Leicester
- 4ply, 400m / 100g
Some colours are inspired by Bernat Klein, the theme of @tangledgalashiels this year.
I used this base also for my new design 'Playful Stitches Vest, which is published in the new issue (issue 9) of @thejournalofscottishyarns, which will also be launched at Tangled.
I very much enjoyed knitting with this base, and I am planning to use it again for another design. Susan and I will have the samples of the vests with us.
Only a week to go - hopefully see you on Friday 29th May and Saturday 30th May in the Volunteer Hall in Galashields? I will share a stall with lovely Harriet @harrietwildwoodstitches.

Finally....after some time off after @woollygoodedinburgh - I just wanted to thank you! Thank you for attending Woolly Good and thank you for purchasing some yarn and patterns from me. And thank you for finding me and saying 'hello'.
I cannot believe it is over for another year - I am still processing it all 🤣.
I am updating the website at the moment. Lots of colours sold out, but I am back in the studio next week and will slowly add them once they are ready.
