Finally....after some time off after @woollygoodedinburgh - I just wanted to thank you! Thank you for attending Woolly Good and thank you for purchasing some yarn and patterns from me. And thank you for finding me and saying 'hello'.
I cannot believe it is over for another year - I am still processing it all 🤣.
I am updating the website at the moment. Lots of colours sold out, but I am back in the studio next week and will slowly add them once they are ready.
I am also preparing for @tangledgalashiels - so my big website update will be after this. Thank you very much for your patience. If you are interested in a particular colour and you cannot find it online, please get in touch.

Last preparations for @woollygoodedinburgh.
Mini skein bundles 🥳. I will put together again 5×20g Luing mini skeins (4ply, non-superwash alpaca/cashmere/silk).
I have been twisting and twisting the last nights 😴🤣.
They were very popular and sold out at previous festivals. Putting different colour choices together is the fun part, which is the next task on my to-do-list.
Please note: As one of the @woollygoodedinburgh organisers, I won't be at my stall (maybe just occasionally), but @acmidgley and my two friends Petra & Sarah will be there 😁.
However, I will be around and hopefully see you 🥰. Not long now - cannot wait!

This is my Raasay base, my most luxurious yarn - 50% yak & 50% silk (4ply) in 50g skeins. And non-superwash (as all my bases are)!
One of my favourites. It is wonderfully soft, hypoallergenic and lanolin-free 😍 (for those who can't wear wool on the neck).
My Caledonian Pine Shawl (second photo) was designed using this base, so you can feel and see how this base knits up. I will have the sample on my stall at @woollygoodedinburgh (and all of my patterns will be 20% off over the weekend too 😏).
I love how the base takes up the dye. They are not easy to photograph and can be slightly difficult to see in full bloom in darker rooms, but I have some lights for my stall now, so hopefully, this will work.
Two weeks to go....there are still some tickets left.

I promised to share some of the yarn I will bring to @woollygoodedinburgh, so here comes the first peek:
My Gigha base (merino/silk, 4ply) in some variegated colours.
Dyeing variegated colours on non-superwash yarn is not easy, as it takes much longer for the yarn to take up the yarn and there is a risk that the dye just mixes and you will get a muted, sometimes non- definable (🫣🫤) colour. It took me a while to figure out how to do it - and I am always happy when they work 🙏.
Back to twisting and labelling more yarn now, but I will share some more pictures over the next days.
Woolly Good is in less than 3 weeks now - eeekkk 😍.

I thought I share a 360 degree view from my studio at @cockenziehouseandgardens22. It is a very special place for me. Even if I am very busy, I always make sure I go out for a coffee break (weather permitting 🌞), look for pebbles on the beach or take Yula for a walk.
There is also a brilliant cafe @cafefilly with yummy scones - very dangerous ☕️🥧🤣.
I only dye my yarn in the studio and store it at home, but I am always happy to see visitors and can make arrangements to bring some yarn in.
Maybe see you on day here?

Sorry for the silence...
Just plotting along.. @woollygoodedinburgh organisation with the amazing team is going well, and I also spend a lot of time in the studio at the moment. Another week of dyeing, and I hope I will have enough yarn to take with me to Woolly Good.
I will try to share more when I twist the yarns.
Tickets are selling very well. Are you coming?

Hello 👋 ,
An appreciation post to the lovely yarn shops that stock my yarn.
I just delivered more yarn to:
💫 @thewoollybrew in Pittenweem, East Neuk.
If you ever in this area, I can highly recommend to visit The Woolly Brew. Fiona is so knowledgeable- every time I am there, a customer comes in with questions /needs advice, and they leave the shop with a big smile, yarn, and ready to start their new project 🥰.
A true 💎.
💫 @fankleyarns. West coast visit anyone? Fankle Yarns is such a lovely shop - a wonderful selection of yarns, notions, craft nights. I am so happy to have some yarn in Kathleen's shop again.
💫 Woolly Woolly in Alfred, Aberdeenshire. A wonderful shop - a lot is going on in Louise's shop. I am delighted to have some yarn in her shop.
If you ever in these areas, why don't you have a look?
💞 I am so grateful for their support! 💞
With the wholesale orders finished (for now), I will continue to get ready for @woollygoodedinburgh. Cannot wait!! Tickets are still available - hopefully see you there?

Hello - it has been a while...
I hope you have survived January?
I spent it mainly on admin, writing up patterns and some knitting (mainly for a pattern commission 😁).
But I am back in the studio now, preparing for @woollygoodedinburgh.
Join us on our lunchtime walk to the harbour - we were lucky yesterday, as I got really wet feet the day before - the sea level was so high..🌊🫣🤣.
Anyway, I hope you are all well and looking forward to Spring.

I am on holiday....cannot quite believe that I am writing this...we finished all the shopping (including the food), the kids have arrived/ are on their way, Christmas tree and deco is up and we are (nearly) ready - I just need to do 2 more admin things, and all is done.
I am looking forward to being able to slowing down and spending time with my family. And knit, I want to knit a lot!
I wish you a wonderful, relaxing and calming time over the festive season - and all the best for 2026 (when the time comes).
Right...off to hibernate*...
*the online shop is still open, but I will post and answer emails once I am back (5th January).

I seem to need slightly longer to recover these days 😬🤪...@eastneukknits what can I say...
It was just wonderful - everybody seems to be in such a good mood. I had so many lovely conversations, enjoyed chatting to the other vendors (my lovely neighbours @the_birlinn_yarn_company, @scottishtextilesshowcase & @thewoollybrew), all the other lovely vendors and the amazing visitors ❤️❤️. Thank you for your support.
My heart is so full!!!
And a big thank you to the fantastic @eastneukknits team: Susan @thejournalofscottishyarns, Alison @knitrospective & Di and team @digilpinknitwear & @bowhousefife. You started something so good!!
I have spent far more than I had planned too 🫣🤣: book and Christmas decoration from @thewoollybrew (love anything from @stitchbirdie), Christmas decorations from @shilasdairyarns, book and patterns from @the_birlinn_yarn_company, yarn from @bowbridgealpacasscotland, bag from @midwinteryarns and @eastneukknits bag and cards from @nattymaid.
I didn't take many pictures (typical), but @kelpiesprite always looks fantastic (also wearing the Hebridean Sea Shawl here) & I love the colour collection from @pinkminis67 - she was wearing yellow tights too - wow).
I still need a bit time to recover, but will try to update the website over the next days.
